Metattune is founded on the Attention Training Technique (ATT), an evidence-based practice known for enhancing attentional control. Research indicates that ATT may yield benefits in alleviating anxiety, regulating mood, combating burnout, managing intrusive thoughts, and mitigating pain.

Setting itself apart from traditional meditation applications, Metattune directs attention towards external stimuli rather than internal contemplation. The brainchild of two visionary siblings - one a psychologist and the other an engineer - Metattune was conceived to address the scarcity of diverse ATT resources. Recognized for its ingenuity, Metattune clinched the top spot in the Social Enterprise category at the University of Cincinnati IQ E-Pitch Competition.
